Webster Lake, as it is commonly known, is a 1,442 acre, spring fed lake located in Webster Massachusetts and just minutes from the Connecticut border. The lake has broken many records. It is the largest natural lake in Massachusetts and it has the longest Place Name in the U.S. The official name of  the lake, thanks to the Nipmuck Indians, is Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg! Most people just call it Webster lake for convenience.

Many of the local’s favorite activities in Webster, Massachusetts revolve around the lake. During the summer Webster is a bustling town with many vacationers and locals. The lake is a great fishing spot and has been known to produce good sized trout, bass, northern Pike and perch fish species. In the past webster lake has even held fishing tournaments. During the fall, the lake is a prime location for nature lovers and photographers to take advantage of the beautiful scenery including the colorful New England foliage. The Lake is also just moments away from the Douglas State forest which includes many hiking trails and hunting areas.

There’s plenty of staking, ice fishing and ice boating to keep activity around the lake boasting all year long.
